Ira Losco has just returned from a successful tour in Australia together with Tribali who performed at the Blues and Roots festival alongside Crowded House, The Fray, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Lyle Lovett and many more. This was the second time Ira Losco has teamed up with Tribali on their foreign tour following their debut performance at the prestigious festival two years ago. This year the festival attracted over 115,000 people and the performance slots were jam packed .
Howard Keith from Jagged House said “ Marking the Australia leg as the 110th performance abroad for the artists with Jagged House , this is the third time we’ve managed to have two or more local acts travel together. In fact Ira Losco had invited Red Electrick and No Snow No Alps to perform in Austria with all expenses covered last September. The idea is to lessen travel and cargo costs by having the acts work together and adding more dates when possible.”
This year is proving itself to be another busy year for Ira Losco as she is traveling to perform throughout the next few months. In fact the artiste will be performing in UK in front of 25,000 people in Sheffield Stadium on the 24th of April followed by a sports awards ceremony and back in the UK a week after, should flights resume ! Further performances in UK, China, Italy and Germany are planed through out this year.
“We have also confirmed more performances in France and Australia for 2012 for Ira Losco as well as other confirmed performances for the other artists in our roster to be announced at a later stage.” added Howard Keith.
The title track off her last album “Fortune teller” released at the TV awards enjoyed extensive radio play and a number 1 spot on the leading radio stations. She is also writing and recording her much awaited new album due to be released at the end of this year.
“My work as an artist, musician and performer is ongoing and always presents me with the chance to work with other inspiring artists. When I perform outside our shores I am exposed to incredible musicianship, which is both exciting and inspiring for me. At present I am working on my new album ,a new concept and more foreign performances . Everyday I learn something new and for this I am thankful and never take anything for granted .” said Ira Losco. |
